People for Research’s new donation campaign: Bristol Pride 2019 and more

At People for Research, we take our corporate responsibility seriously and strive to connect with causes that we believe in. Our partners include Phase Worldwide, a Bristol-based charity working to change and improve lives in Nepal, and Big Blue Ocean Cleanup, a well-known international non-profit working to clean the oceans. And today we’re announcing our next donation campaign to support the Peace House project, promoted by Bristol Pride.

Every week, we get hundreds of new people signing up to our online community, so we decided to up the game and turn each sign up into a donation to this worthy project. Over the next week, every time a new person joins People for Research’s online community via our Pride campaign (using this link – bit.ly/PFRsupportsBristolPride2019), we will donate £0.50 to Peace House, a space in Haiti that welcomes young LGBT+ people who have been made homeless due to homophobia.

You can sign up to our online community here if you’re interested and we’ll donate £0.50!

We’ll announce the results of this campaign on Monday 15th July, after the much awaited Bristol Pride parade and celebration, which happens on Saturday 13th July.

We hope to make Bristol Pride’s 10th anniversary (and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots) a bit more special with this small donation. It’s particularly important to us to support the LGBTQIA+ community, as we need the feedback of everyone to make sure digital products and services are fully inclusive and accessible.

Don’t forget that Pride in Bristol is not only about the celebration on the 13th; there’s more happening before then: here’s a link to the events page. Also, this is where you can purchase a wristband to beat the queues on Pride Day!

Besides Bristol, we are planning to support other Pride celebrations across the UK, so please get in touch with any suggestions you may have.
