5 reasons paid research is worth your time

We’re lucky to have such an incredibly loyal following for our projects. We try to give everyone their fair chance to participate in paid research studies and testing projects (depending on suitability, of course) and we always aim to keep our participants happy. According to a recent survey:

9 out of 10 participants would recommend us to a family member or friend

We could tell you tonnes of reasons why you should love participating in paid research – but it’s one thing for us to tell you our reasons to love research…

Here’s why our participants enjoy taking part in paid research:

1. You can have your say on interesting topics

We get to work with such a variety of companies – there’s always something interesting going on! If food is your thing, we regularly have opportunities for the foodies out there. Are you a bit of a shopaholic? Tell us more about your shopping habits. There’s something for everyone and you can get involved in giving your feedback on topics that really interest you.

“I had an amazing research [opportunity] relating to cultural and historical visits and I must say the staff at the interview were lovely and very grateful for the honest feedback I provided. I had a great time and really feel the company valued my opinion.”

2. You can influence change

Not only can you have your say, but your comments may be used to influence change further down the line. For example, if you’re passionate about charity work, or perhaps you’re an avid supporter of accessibility like we are, you can use your experience to inform the decision makers in companies working within these fields.

Be an influencer of change and help those causes that matter most to you – you’ll feel a real sense of achievement, knowing the contribution you have made.

“[The research] makes a difference to things that matter to you.”

3. People genuinely enjoy taking part

So you can get paid to do something and enjoy it – what’s the catch? There’s no small print or misleading gimmicks; you just may not be able to participate as much as you’d like to! We’ve found that not only do people get very excited about taking part in paid research, they’re even more excited after the research takes place and choose to leave us with great feedback…

“Love working with PFR, it’s great fun. It’s nice that the companies appreciate our feedback so much.”

4. We don’t bite – we’re nice people!

Sometimes the market research industry can get a bad reputation – tactics used by companies such as cold-calling and door-knocking can leave you feeling agitated and suspicious of a company’s intentions.

We like to think that we’re up there with the best when it comes to customer care and ethical user research; and it seems our participants agree that we really are just nice people, looking to match insightful individuals to curious clients!

“The staff who call you up are so upbeat and obviously enjoy their jobs. They know all about me, making me a perfect fit when I am invited to attend a focus group. I get to meet some great people and learn a lot about all sorts of new ideas and products. I am proud to be a part of their panel.”

5. We pay generous incentives

The cherry on top of these great reasons to take part in paid research and testing projects – the pay, of course. We give great incentives to make research worth your while. It’s always great to have a little bonus now and again, don’t you think? Our participants agree…

“Great opportunities to take part in paid research. I received payment the same day as I took part in research, so no waiting around. Best market research company I’ve worked with, highly recommended.”

Something to remember… It’s nothing personal

We love getting people involved in paid research studies when we can. However, we do have to look for very specific criteria, depending on what our client is looking for. If you don’t get selected to take part, please remember – it’s nothing personal! You just don’t fit the research demographic quite right this time, but we’ll do our best to include you in a new project soon enough.
