Dragons’ Den Guy Jeremiah takes part in paid research with us

You may have seen Guy on the popular BBC show Dragons’ Den, pitching his collapsible water bottle. While the product did not get invested in, Guy made headlines as he proved the Dragons’ wrong and made a huge success of his environmentally-friendly venture. His water bottles are now sold in M&S and Boots, and they are available to buy internationally in many countries.

Guy recently took part in some paid research with us, which involved business owners who export and tender – with all his experience, he was a perfect participant!

dragons' den guy jeremiahHaving taken part in research before, in a study related to social media, Guy had an idea of what the session would involve, but he says he had “no expectations” of what this research would be like.

When asked if he found anything difficult during the session, Guy replied “not at all”; in fact, he enjoyed participating and learnt a thing or two which will be extremely helpful in his line of work.

“It was extremely useful in learning what the new exports website could offer my business. The link to overseas retailers and distributors has been something I have been seeking for many years.”

Guy says the research session was well conducted and “a useful experience, as well as being remunerated!”. He would recommend taking part in a business session like the one he participated in, as “you never know what you might learn about your own business and the opportunities in international trade”.

While some projects may not seems as fun, you really can learn helpful information to take away with you from the research; so even when you leave the session, the benefits don’t stop the second it ends!
