Join our webinar – Six months of GDPR: what we’ve learned
It’s been six months since the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into play and, the People for Research team did a lot of work in preparation for the current data protection legislation, yet sometimes we still have questions about how best to apply our policy and put our participants’ data protection at the heart of what we do.
Managing large amounts of data is a big responsibility, and one that we take seriously, as it is part of the promise we make to our participants when they join our online community to take part in user research and usability testing. This is why we trust experts like Edward Boal, head of the Commercial, Technology & Data Protection team at law firm Gregg Latchams, to help us if any doubts arise. As part of his role, Ed regularly advises both agencies and clients on legal issues relating to digital marketing, including the rules on advertising, cookies and email marketing.
The last six months (and the year before GDPR became the official legislation) have been a learning curve and, based on the interest shown by some of our clients on this topic, we thought it would be useful to share this knowledge. For this reason, we are organising another People for Research webinar, this time focussed on GDPR, with Edward Boal as a special guest.
During this webinar, Ed and People for Research’s Business Development Director Jess Lewes will discuss the basics of GDPR, what the legislation means when managing large amounts of data and how to apply it to user recruitment and user research.
Let us know if you have any questions about GDPR that you would like our expert to answer during the webinar. Share your questions with us on Twitter @people4research or get in touch via email – firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also join our newsletter mailing list and we will drop you an email next time we have a webinar.
It's been 6 months since #GDPR came into play and some of us (including the #UserResearch industry) are still figuring out its implications.
