Come find us at User Research London 2017
It’s an exciting summer ahead, with People for Research popping up at events across the country, including Camp Digital up in Manchester and Collaborate Bristol happening next door from our headquarters. And, for the first time ever in the UK, we finally have an event focusing purely on user research – introducing User Research London 2017.
Hosted in the UK capital on 16th June 2017, User Research London promises to bring together some of the world’s best user research speakers to begin discussions on how to further the progression of user research.
Our very own Jess Lewes, who recently went from being People for Research’s Director of Projects to Business Development Director, will be one of the key speakers at the event. Her talk will be all about ‘User recruitment: a brief history’. Jess will be focusing on how user recruitment has changed over the last few years, as a result of the development and growth of the user experience (UX) and usability industry, as well as some key tips to help prepare for participant recruitment.
If ever there was an event made for People for Research, this would be it! With the focus of the event being purely on user research, we decided it was a great opportunity to partner up with User Research London and support the important move in our sector.
What more can User Research London offer?
We recently asked David McCrae, one of the event organisers, about his motivation to create a new conference around user research. “We all felt that there was an opportunity to share our experience with an audience. User Research London is in its first year, but we’re planning for it to become a regular event on the calendar”, he shared with us.
“We’ve got some of the best user researchers in the world and they’re going to spend a day sharing their experience.”
According to David, “this is the first conference specialised on user research in the UK. The talks are varied, but all of them focus on using user research as a tool to create better design and cultures. It doesn’t matter if you’re an experienced researcher or just interested in the subject: there will be plenty to get from the day.”
We will be sponsoring the event along with big names like Facebook and MOO. Keep an eye out for People for Research goodies available on the day and come chat if you spot us! Some of the PFR team members will be attending to catch up with the experts at the event and hopefully meet more people interested in user recruitment on the day.
We will be running our free Participant Recruitment Clinic and answering any questions you might have about sourcing the right participants for your project. There are only 12 slots available exclusively to attendees of the conference, so click the button on the right to book yours now and guarantee your free consultation with one of our experts.
